Hi all; I'm basically an IT guy trying to take care of a Meridian 61 C system. I just recently "inherited" this, so be gentle... :)

We have periodic problems (about twice a week), where the paging number will show busy. We disu and enlu it to get it back, but would like a more permanent fix. I have TRAC'd it when it is busy, and it just shows LOCKOUT TN. We have set a TFD of 30, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. In another post on tek-tips, it looked as though someone was saying that the TFD setting doesn't work if the TKTP was PAG. Do I need to change the TKTP to WAT or COT? If so, is this easily changeable?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

either, cot or wat, mine are cot.. build a new route, out the trunk and rebuild it as type cot tfd to 30 and it will always release unless your page adapter is bad... if it hold a short on the line after the trunk rel's it could be a problem.. in the route set supr to no and ndec and fdec to eth

Thanks for the quick response John. Is it hard to build a new route from scratch? Do I need to delete the old route first, then create the new one? Can you give me a little detail on this process? Thanks.

it's mostly default i would build build the
new, test it then delete// i'll post that code tomorrow but it's pretty simple, find a vacant dn to use as an acod..

ld 20
prt
ludn

list all the vacant numbers in your dial plan..

then ld 16
new
rdb
xx (pick a vacant route number) 20?
type is cot
iao is iao
acod is the vacant dn, default the rest and do a change answer crtl yes then add the tfd return down to ndec and fdec answer those either.. like i say, i'll add one and post it.. this is a real easy switch, after you've done it for a while
