406v2, DS 30, Phone8, 3.1.56, all 5410's and 2 5420's.
Paging is swt up as follows:
Hunt Group with all users as members and an analog extension for loudspeaker page. Dial a shortcode, and paging comes over all phnes and loudspeakers.
Problem that occurs:
When a user is on a call, and someone makes a page, the user's call is interrupted by a "staticy" version of the page being made and then disconnects the outside call. This happens a few times a day and at random.

I am having the same kind of problem using group page and paging sets and overhead paging but I am also having a problem that once in a while all the phones on the system start going off and on hook repeatedly by them selves until the system is rebooted.

yeah, I had the same deal with 5410's, with a group page to the phones randomly making the set's go onhook, offhook like you said. I'm not sure what triggered it, but it would only happen to the one receptionist, the other one never had problems. Lucky for us, they where going to overhead paging anyways.

I think I've seen some other people post on this, anyone know what the trigger is to make those phones go onhook/offhook repeatedly from a group page?

We have the same issue(phones going on and off hook). An earlier post narrowed it down to canceling the page before the 5410 and 5420 answered.
I have traned users not to push page button without paging and the problem has diminished greatly.

heh heh, gotta luv that :) Ah, excuse me customer, but don't push the page button without actually paging... because if you flash hook the page button, it'll freak out the phones. ;)

That's what the receptionist was inadvertently doing, her headset lifter was slipping the handset back in the cradle from poor positioning causing a real quick disconnect on the page calls, thus creating all the set's to go crazy.
