Paging on phone & overhead speakers 2

Hi,
We have CME 4.3 with Cisco 7941 phones. If a phone is in use, will announcement still come up from the phone's speaker? Will the announcement over write the current phone being in use?
Can I have one paging number for both overhead and phone apeakers?
Or do I need a seperate paging numbers each assign for overhead speakers and phone speakers?

If the phone is in use it will not page over it.
As far as I know you need separate DN for paging overhead and the phones. You might try a broadcast hunt group but I have a feeling it will not work right.
You will need a 3rd party product like Berbee or IPCelerate to be able to page both phones and OH at once.

I saw a job for 50 endpoints for around $5k. Not sure you can divide that by 5 to get to your 10 but I'd say around $100 per endpoint might be close. Depends on your vendor and their markup, etc.

It looks like installing just the over head paging would be more cost effective but that also depends on conduits, cabling, power, speakers, and a fxo/fxs cards to terminate to a router with some programming in the Call manager.

Informacast does much more than just standard paging. You can do scheduled pages, you can page through the phone iether graphically or audibly. It all depends on whether you need to take advantage of all it offers or not.

With an FXS or FXO card plus a router to house it being well over $1000 by themselves, not sure I'd agree with this not being cost effective but I do respect your opinion and thank you for all the your posts.
