Folks, I have a UCx w/7316e phones. I have paging set up and it works fine except when I put a caller on hold. It says no line key assigned, even though when I do a F*0 it shows it there. Clues please?

Ho ORPG

Did you assign 2 line keys in Nortel settings?

2 line keys? I have it assigned to one line key; what used to be line 1 on the BCM

In my lab, I do not get a message saying no line key assigned.
Is the button programmed as General Page (F60), Page Zone (F61X), or as a speed dial to the page group extension number?

did you mean F611 F601 is not a valid feature code
so you can press that button when the set is idle and it will page

AHHHSOOOOOO. I used F601; I'll try F611; will let you know then. thx.

same problem; it pages just fine as long as the phone is idle; but when the phone is on "hold" it does not work.

Could you answer the question from engenius: "Did you assign 2 line keys in Nortel settings?"

To make a page call, you need a free line appearance key. If you have only one line appearance key and you put the call on this key on hold, you couldn't make a second call. Go to your extension's configuration page, select Nortel Properties and look at the Number Of Lines value. If it is set to 1, you can have one and only one call on your phone...

for those that need every button for features, SCG appearances etc
my customer has 12 SCG buttons

you can page with only 1 line key

answer the call
press the soft key trans
press the page button
make the page
press rls which will reconnect you to the call
press hold

with 2 line keys

answer the call
press hold
press the second line key
press the page button
make page then hang up
