Paging on BCM 50 1

Anyone had this happen? When on an outside call if someone does an internal page it comes in over your speaker anyway. I tried this on an MICS and it did not interupt the outside call in any way.

Hmm. Interesting. That would kind of suck, but I did have a customer that we pulled an old Telerad out of years ago that would have loved that.

I'd try it for you but my lab BCM 50 is out and about right now. I've never heard of that happening.

What release is the BCM? 1.04g,h,j? Latest core patches installed?

From element manager if you look under capabilities of the set it will have a check in the box called auto hold for incoming page. If you choose to config from the set under capabilities its called auto hold.

Don't forget that auto hold is needed to do transfers to voicemail (F986). If auto hold is disabled, you'll disconnect the caller when doing F986.

Auto hold for incoming page just puts the call on hold when a page comes through. I never saw a use for that, seems kind of rude to me. But that could indeed be the problem.
