I have a customer that wants paging for there office. My main carrier is full without any extra line ports avaiable.
Without installing another carrier and module is there anyway or device I can add.
Does the magix have any internal tone while on hold so that maybe I can switch the music on hold port to a paging port. Thanks

I was trying to avoid buying an expansion carrier and module.I don't have any extra line ports avaiable. Thanks, anyway I just purchased a used carrier and 412 module to solve the problem.

TTT was saying you could also use an unused analog port (not line port). Analog ports are used for single line set functions. You can buy an amplifier that utilizes an analog port vs. a line port.

I can't use an analog port because I don't have one avaiable. The carrier is full with 4-412 modules and 1-vm module.
I was hoping there was away to share an existing line port or use an existing digital phone port. Thanks anyway

There is a way you can use a spare digital port off the Magix.

It is basically a 4406 set utilizing a 6 conductor flat cable that is enclosed with a built in 600 ohm transfomer. The 1st pair connects to the TDL port; 2nd pair used for audio; 3rd pair for contact closure. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, but I already purchased a used expansion carrier and 412 module. It worked fine and wasn't expensive.

Glad to help; sorry it wasn't timely, setting up a new laptop.
