Greetings! I have to hook paging up to a 406v2. I have a spare trunk port and 2 free analog station ports. What's the best way to go?

Thanks/Quaz

I prefer a trunk and a TAMB. More reliable to whatever strange paging system you can come across.

I use analog extensions because you can usually just feed them into the paging input on T/R, in rare cases you need a WMT1A (matching transformer) to change the impedance from 600 Ohm to 10 kOhm but other then that I never had a problem.
The worst is if you have a NoName Amp that is on customer site and has worked there for the last 20 years and was wired into the system by MacGyver himself.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

I liked the idea of an extension since you can page a group of phones and overhead simultaneously but I have run into too many problems with phones not disconnecting properly its trunk and tamb for me.

Have done both, but seems like trunk ports are more reliable. At any rate, would put surge protection on either. Last fall we had a rash of lightning zapping paging ports.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the all the great suggestions.
