I am running a Windows 2003 server with 2 GB of memory and a 3 port fire wire 800 card. Connected to the card are 4 Lacie 1TB disks, one in each port and the fourth one daisy chained off of the disk in the first port. Three of the drives are setup as volumes so they do not appear with a corresponding drive letter.
I'm receiving paging errors. The manufacturer recommends that to resolve the issue a page file of 512 to 1024 MB be created on each disk to act as a buffer during read/write operations. I created the page file of 1024 on the disk setup with a drive letter and increased the system page file to 4 GB. Does anyone know how to setup a page file on a volume that does not show up under the virtual memory settings page in Windows?
