Paging delay on Legend page port ?

Hi all. I have a Legend R7 and all was fine for paging untill I added one more horn to the system. Customer used to hit I 50 then page, they had trunk 808 setup in Pool 50. We added 1 more horn then, for no apparent reason, when you went to page there was litteraly a FULL 5-6 second delay before Pool 50 would connect voice path to page input on amp. If you hit # 9 808 it was instant. My tech source says this is impossible, but I'm telling you this is what's happening!!!! Trying to explain this to customer that delay is coming from phone system ( butt set confirms this ) is near to impossible because " it worked before you ----- with it " if you catch my meaning. Help!

Why is the paging line port in a pool to begin with?? That is not the way it is supposed to be set up.

I would take it out of the pool and program the line (808) as a paging port under auxiliary equipment. Assign line 808 as a button to the phones that page frequently. The button will display as "Loudspeaker Page". If they want to keep the dialing into paging the same. Rename Pool 50 back to what it was - and rename line 808 to line 50.

See if that corrects your "delay" problem.

I was not the original installer/programer on this system, I came in after the fact. I did go into programing and assigned 808 as the paging port, and it does come up with " Loudspeaker paging ". I will try re-numbering as you suggest, I did'nt think of that, but I cannot explain what was altered by just adding the additional horn?
