When someone pages using the loudspeaker paging it can be heard on phones when people are talking. Both parties on the phone can hear it; it's muffled, but it you can hear exactly what is being said.
They have a legend 6.1 and a bogen paging amp. It just started doing it over the last couple of days.

Thanks in Advance.

Thats odd. Could it be cross talk or a short on the paging line to one of the outside lines?

First step: Reboot Legend. Is the user that is reporting the problem near the paging system? If so, it's the same as someone talking in the background, (you said it was "muffled") if so, there is no problem.

Yep..power cycle it. Its the tool that contains no steel or plastic. Gives the capacitors a few miliseconds off. They need a break just like everything else.

Are you running a 70v speaker in the same cable as your tel sets? You may be getting bleedover from the speakers.

I cycled the power and that didn't do the trick. The speaker wire isn't run with the phone sets cable. For the most part, they aren't even punch on the same block. There may be a couple of extensions that are punched on the same block, but only a few.
The thing that baffles me is that it just started doing it. What would have caused it to just start?

Just guessing at things but did anybody do any remodeling or moving of any kind?

Is their any possability that some wiring was laying across the roof. Outdoor speaker was affected maybe?

I'm not sure about this one. Could a faulty line port cause bleed over?

Can you move PAGING to another line port and see if that makes a difference?

I can and I plan to do that tomorrow, but I will have to remove that line and add the new line to a lot of extensions. I plan on doing that for testing purposes, but if it's the line port I want to change the board to save myself a lot of reprograming.
