I'm trying to get paging to work between 2 BCM 450's 5.0 using SIP. I've heard that paging isn't supported over IP, but I'm in a bind and need to find a work around. Any ideas? Trying to think outside the box on this one. Thanks for any help.

You could point an incoming DID to DISA then dial a page code. If the pages could be pre-recorded you could use a CCR tree.

Facing the same thing myself. The only thing I've come up with is a couple of Algo IP paging devices and using external paging.

Multitech voip gateways work pretty good for paging over the internet.

INSTALL AN ANALOG LINE. SET TO ANSWER WITH DISA. WHEN YOU HEAR INTERNAL DIAL TONE DIAL *62

SET UP A SPEED DIAL BUTTON WITH DISA NUMBER. THEN ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DIAL *62 WHEN YOU HEAR INTERNAL DIAL TONE

Our workaround for this solution has been to setup two old laptops running softphone. Home Location A laptop to BCM B and vice versa. Then connect the speaker output of each laptop to our standard paging system. Set each softphone up in their own paging zone ,program a speed dial button on everyone's phone to that paging zone.
One button paging across IP to the other location(s).
