This customer had an old Partner with a Lucent PCM. They were using Time Triggered Events to alert the workers of lunch/ breaks. A few years ago they ended up with an IPO set in Basic Partner Mode. They were told they could not have the tones anymore. A port on a Phone 8 is set for Loudspeaker Paging and is plugged into the Override Paging Port. The paging works but they would really like to be able to use the Time Triggered Events tones. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance & Happy Thanksgiving!![turkey]

Time Triggered Events run independently of the phone system.

The Override port is designed to have a 2500 set plugged into it, NOT to be connected to an analogue station port. My guess is that by connecting it that way, the override port is being held up, and takes priority over the Time Triggered Events.

Change the connection from the Phone-8 station port to the "Tel Line" port and set the switches to 0/0/0/0/0/1/0. When you dial the extension number of the analog station port on the Phone-8, it will answer after the first full ring and connect you to the paging speakers.

Or use a Trunk port, set the switches to 0/0/1/1/1/0/0

Unfortunately, to use a station port programmed as a page port requires a contact closure from the phone system, which the IPO can not provide, so you end up using a UTI between the IPO and the PCM
