So, we have (2) 61C's connected via a PRI TIE line.
Site A wants to use Site B's paging system.
Here's what's built:

Site A:
DN 2002, CDP's across TIE line to Site B

Site B:
DN 2002 is an ACDN that NCFW's to 2902 -- the ACOD of the paging route. (there is no zone paging--just an all page)

From site A, this works fine--using a station, but it does NOT work when using the console. I noticed the following error when they tried:

TRK0170 tn
Paging trunk- Short Hold.
Action: "Refer to ""Trunk Failures"" section."
Severity: Minor

Is there something I can change in the console programming at Site A to make this work?

As usual with Nortel, the how to on this is in the ISDN PRI guide instead of the features and services guide. You have to add NAC to your d-channel. I believe you change the NACC prompt in your TIE RDB to either PGNU or PGNC.

Your also have to add PGNA to the CLS of the phones and make sure you don't have any TGAR/NCOS issues that will restrict the call.

I'm not familiar with all of that, but I would try a variety of different dialing methods, such as:

Site B: make 2002 an ACDN that NCFW's to 2902##
or
Site B: Make DN 2002 a "Phantom TN" that DCFW's to 2902

The TRK error is just a warning of "Short Hold Time" because you have been hitting the trunk over and over again for short durations. You can modify the route's HOLD failure threshold to make that error stop.

So, I did nothing, procrastinated. Now they say the paging from the console works. I can't explain that--user error? Repeatedly?

NOW the paging from the analog set they were using does not disconnect. Overhead paging in Site B stays connected until someone unplugs the line cord in the analog set @ site A. I've changed the FEDC and NEDC to eth on the paging route. Any other ideas?

how is the paging route built. A PAG will not give you the options that a WATs route will. Post your current route!

Here's the paging route. I'm curious about the TFD. It says 0...does that mean never or immediately disconnect?
