Paging across 2 BCM400s 2

I am programming 2 BCM 4.0 systems being networked in the same school. The problem I am having is paging. Can I page over all of the phones at once? Or at least can I page across from one to the other? We have the BCMs divided between the 1st floor and 2nd floor. Thank you.

Yes you can page across BCM's via the sets but not all page for both BCM.

Thank you 56BelAir! Just to clarify.Your saying I can page individual sets from anywhere. I cannot page all sets on both BCMs at the same time. Can I page all sets on 1 BCM, then page all sets on the other BCM?

No you cannot page individual sets.

You can use Voice call to individual sets.

You can Page all sets on the same system, but not across to the other system.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

As I stated earlier you can page across 2 or more BCM systems, you need to set up DISA DN. Dial disa DN and * and your page code and zone for example *611. There are a couple other peramiters but I have done it many times it has been available for along time back to Norstar I beleive.

Thanks again 56BelAir. Great info. I think my customer is going to have overhead paging. I am going to set up the DISA DN anyway, and see how that works.

How will situation change if you have 2 BCMs connected via VoIP trunks, you can't use a DISA then, can you?

Thats correct you cannot across VOIP trunk, however you should be able to set up remote access package and allow remote paging.
