Paghe number printing ing Word

I have a merge document setup in three sections. I want page x of x to start and end with every section. My problem is that on the print screen it looks great p1 of 3, p2 of 3 and p3 of 3. For each section, but when I print it, it comes out 1 of 1 , 2 of 2 and 3 of 3, why is the first number changing?
