I have encountered a problem with some pages in various documents. The last page of these documents contains a "root table" that does not allow the page to be removed. These pages have other problems such as not containing master page formatting (page numbers, etc.) and sometimes missing text.

The final probelm with these root table pages is that they will not print to the ps file. When I print from PM to a ps file, an error is encountered which says the ps file cannot be saved. A file is created, however and when distilled, the root table page is present, but is blank.

What did I do wrong?

Hi, alveus,

Are you on a Mac or Windows PC?
Which version of the OS and PM?
What format is the "root table"?
How are importing the "root table" into PM?

Sorry I didn't include the pertinent info: Platform Win98, Version PM 6.5.

About the root table. I did not put this into Pagemaker. I assumed that it was some kind of background thing that Pagemaker was using to keep track of the documents.

I can't find anything about it, though in any help or other info provided by Adobe.

Hi, alveus,

Thanks for the info, but I'm at a loss at work out what the "root table" is.

Is it something on a Master page (Ctrl+Shift+8) or a layer (Ctrl+8)?
