Pages show up blank in FP ... sometimes

I have pages that are full of coding (vbscript, javascript and html). Every now and then, when I open a page in FP, it is empty. There is no code at all. It is all there when the file is opened in notepad though. I know FP has a problem when webs reach a certain size, but I thought that number was in the 3-4 thousands. I have 185 pages. To reconcile the problem I have to completely restart my machine. Any thoughts?

The only thing I can relate to that behavior would be the codeing within the html. Front Page seems to be very picky about what it likes or dislikes. With all it's </p> and everything.
I have noticed that I cannot preview a page in FP that has certain java or other code within the html, yet when viewed in a browser, it works fine.
