On a Legend 6.0 the overhead paging stopped working.
The pagepal is in a 800gs/ls. The port it is in would be line 815.
In order to use it, they hit call pickup and 6. I was thinking that maybe the port on the 800gs/ls went bad and wanted to change to an unused port on another board.
How do I reassign the new port to be associated with the group 6 that they currently use?

If the 800gs/ls board is bad, can it be replaced with an 800gs/ls ID board without having to reconfigure the whole thing?

I know these are probably basic questions, but I have to learn somewhere. :)

They probably just renumbered the trunk from 8XX to 6, so go into renumber-single-lines/trunks, first change 6 back to 8XX, then for your new trunk renumber 8XX to 6.

Before you do that, take a single line telephone, plug it into the PagePal's modular jack, and see if you can page from there. If not, you don't have a trunk problem, but a paging system problem.

Oh, and if you do end up changing trunks, under Aux Equip, there is a setting for pageing trunk. You'll need to remove the old one and put in the new one.
