just started using pagemaker 6.5 for destop publishing on a word 2000 document i've written. my problem is this: when i upload (or "place" my 75 page word document with extensive footnoting, pagemaker places all of the footnote text at the end of the document instead of beneath each page as i have it formatted in word.
i figure i can do a couple of things, neither of which i know how to do. 1) force pagemaker to display my uploaded document with exactly the formatting as in my word doc. 2) upload the word doc into a frame that only occupies the top 75% of the pagemaker page, then cutting and copying the footnote text into a second frame that occupies the bottom 25% and adjusting the frames page by page to get the footnotes in the correct place (in this case, how do i begin with a 75 page pagemaker document with no uploaded text and create the frames as i've described to be the same on every page automatically?).
needless to say, i'd rather do option 1 (or something else that i may not realize i can).
thanks.
