pagemaker text in column

hello,
can someone help me?
whenever i format text in 2 or 3 column, my text at end of page doesn't come in one line.
i mean text in one colume go little up than second column.
can some one give standard setting for text to be fitted in columns?

If I understand your question, you are concerned that you cannot get the text to align at the bottom of columns as well as at the top?

This will depend on whether you have included headings/subheadings with perhaps different leading (space between lines of type) in the column which will adjust the length of the column and make it difficult to get it to align perfectly with another containing more or less subheadings.

You can play around with the leading in the text, or the spacing before and/or after paragraphs, or if it just a matter of a couple of words, you can use the tool on the extreme right of the text toolbar where you can adjust the kerning (spacing between letters) in a single paragraph by a small amount.

There are lots of things you can try to get copy to fit, but it takes practice and sometimes it is simply not entirely possible to get perfect alignment.
