Pagemaker Master File

I am creating a PDF catalogue with over 1000 items, with one item per page. Using PM, can I have a master file (similar to the Master Page)that I have all the page attributes set, eg: headers, logo's, copy etc.. that are linked to every single PM and or/ PDF file? So if I need to change a logo or an address it will be represented across the entire range of files?

Lastly if this can be done, is there a batch process that I can run to have all my PM files converted to PDF. Around a 1000 pages will take a bit of time to open and do manually .

Yes, I think with a lot preparation PM7 will do it using the "Merge Records". Your records could be in CSV format.

How many PM files? 1 of 999 pages or 999 or one page?

I'm sure Ian Wright from AdobeForums won't object if i paste here his advice about merging databases with PageMaker.

"Unfortunately PageMaker and database publishing parted ways at version 5. IMHO you should look at Adobe InDesign.
