IS-IT--Management
This is for a Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server.
I've got 8 Windows servers here and all have page files that are managed by Windows, except this one terminal server which has it set at 2GB initial and max 6GB. All of these servers were set up before I came along.
While trying to resolve performance issues with this server, I used PerfMon and looked at the paging file counter %Usage. I was surprised to see the counter flat at zero, where it stays. My other services have some level of changing activity on this same counter.
Does this indicate a problem with the page file? Are there other things I can look at to see if the page file is the cause of my performance problems on the server? I've reviewed CPU, Memory, Disk, NIC, etc and I'm not finding much. This zero usage did stick out though.
