I'm using version 4.5 and would like to have "Page x of y" at the top of each page. I can't find any examples of this in the helpfile or manual.
In preview mode, the preview window seems to know how many pages there are, but how can I put it on the report itself?

I know that in version 8, you can insert "Special Fields", one of which is "Page N of M". i never used your version, but check if it is there as well.

This isn't available and I don't know of a workaround in your version. You would have to upgrade to at least version 6 to get this feature. Ken Hamady

Thanks for the reply.
What issues would we encounter in upgrading to the latest version? Our application is a big old one written in VB3 with an Access 2.0 database (i.e. 16 bit). We develop it and run it on Windows 98/NT, however.

I have never used your version in development so I would have to say that the only way to know would be to get the upgrade and try it. While the newer versions have more fancy connections between VB and CR, they all maintain the OCX, which is probably what you are using. I wouldn't expect CR to give you a problem, but the VB3 may have issues. Ken Hamady
