Is there any way to page to both the loudspeaker and a group at the same time? We have folks that are in offices that are nowhere near any of our overhead speakers, and I'd like to set up a group for their speakerphones that could receive the same page as the overhead.

Page to both Loudspeaker and a Group simultaneously

If you have an AUX Trunk pack that you use for your paging, then it can be done.
You will also need an open analog extension port, and an open AUX Trunk port.
Create an analog extension and make it a Hotdial to your group page extension. Connect that analog extension's port to an open AUX Trunk port. Then create a DAC for All Page in the loudspeaker form. Dial the DAC for All Page, and it should also include the extensions in your paging group.

Thanks for your reply. Can you explain in a little more detail? I'm not sure I understand- Are you suggesting a crossconnect between the aux trunk port and the analog port? If so, I can't visualize how this works... Sorry- maybe I've worked too hard today...

Can't seem to get this to work- everything seems to work, except for the path from the aux port to the analog port. I've checked and rechecked everything. Can you tell me if there is anything I need to do for that connection other than cross connect the T/R pair from one to the other?

Did that.
It's as if the analog port doesn't "see" that the aux port has gone "off hook", and then "on hook" to initiate the group page from the hotdial.
Is there something else that needs to be cross connected to the s,s1,sz,sz1 pins on the aux trunk?

No, just T/R to T/R. Do you have a test set that you can use to go off hook on the analog port to test the Hotdial? Also, you could use the test set to monitor the Aux port when the DAC is dialed.
The AUX trunk creates 600ohms when activated, and infinite ohms when idle.
The Station port goes off hook with 600ohms and should dial the speed dial that is programmed for the group-page if programmed correctly.
I have set this up at many sites successfully without any other equipment.

I tested the analog port with an analog phone, and the hotdial function worked fine.
I didn't test the output of the aux port- wasn't sure of the best method. I'm guessing for some reason, its not going between 600 and infinite. This is the third port on this card. The other two are being used for conventional page output to an amp, and to a MOH CD player.
Interesting note: I did a search of this board for aux trunk and found two other posts- one from several weeks ago and one from last year- where both of those folks couldn't get audio on T/R from their aux trunk pack. I wonder if I'm running into something similar. Both of those never posted a successful resolution.

I put a butt set on the analog port and hotdial works. Put the buttset on the aux port, and when I dial the tac for the page to that port, I hear the audio. When I cross connect the two T/R to T/R, and dial the tac, nothing.
Any help you can offer will be GREATLY appreciated!

I got this working. I reversed T/R on the cross connect, and voila! Works like a champ! This is a very clever solution.
I'm wondering if I was wrong to assume that I should connect Tip to Tip and Ring to Ring... Anyway, connecting Tip to Ring did the trick (or maybe my 110 blocks are misswired)...
I would like to hear from anyone (since Redphone is probably not still monitoring this thread) if for the aux trunk pack to analog port connection the connection has to be Tip to Ring.
