Hi guys
Very busy these days sorry

I need to connect an audio system on the page port of Aria system
Do I need a relay between the audio (sonorisation) system and the aria?
If yes what kind of relay?
The customer need to do some calls over the sono system

Thanks

There is a relay in the ipLDK-systems, and you can use it cut the audio line for your PA (amplifier) system.
All call in ipLDK-systems can go to all keysets (internal) or to the PA system (external) or both.
To program relays use PGM168. Use the first contact and set it EXT1. The audio path formyour ipLDK system has to be connected to the PA sytem. One cable go from the ipLDK-system MPB (audio out) to the PA system (line in+).
The other cable go from the ipLDK-system MPB (audio out) to the relay (EXT1) on the MPB of the ipLDK. The other pole of this connector (EXT1) is connected to the PA system. So, if you make your All-call, the relay will be activated, and the audio from the ipLDK-system (e.g. keyset) to sent to the PA system. Could be usefull in sports areas or public swimming pools. ("All persons with blue key-ribbon, must now leave the swimming pool, as their time is out...")

CN20 is the 1st relay contact on the MPB/MPBN for the ipLDK-100.
And PJ2 is the External paging connection on that same board.

In tis case we don(t need an external relay!
Is there the same relay on Aria soho?

I think there no CN20 doktor
I've checked all the document of aria
No way to find CN20
Is there an external solution what kind of relay can I use??
I didn't understand how the cables go?
One from audio port on MPB to PA system +
The other also from audio on MPB, this isn't clear for me

what I wrote was for the ipLDK-100.

So here are the terms for ARIA SOHO:

PJ2 (Blue)-- External PAGE Connection

MJ3 -- Alarm Sensor and External Relay Contact.
(this is CN20 of the ipLDK-100)

and for cabling??
I didn't understand the second cable how it's connected

So, here is the description for the relays and PA systems in connection with ARIA SOHO:

There is a relay in the ARIA SOHO systems, and you can use it cut the audio line for your PA (amplifier) system.
All-call in the ARIA SOHO systems can go to all keysets (internal) or to the PA system (external) or both.
To program relays use PGM168. Use the first contact and set it EXT1. The audio path from your ARIA SOHO system has to be connected to the PA sytem.
One cable go from the ARIA SOHO system MBU cnoonctor PJ2(PJ2 (Blue)-- External PAGE Connection) to the PA system (amplifier)(line in+).
The other cable go from the ARIA SOHO system MBU (PJ2 (Blue)-- External PAGE Connection) to the relay (MJ3 -- Alarm Sensor and External Relay Contact) on the MBU of the ARIA SOHO.
The other pole of this connector (MJ3 -- Alarm Sensor and External Relay Contact) is connected to the PA system.

So, if you make your All-call, the relay will be activated, and the audio from the ARIA SOHO system (e.g. keyset) to sent to the PA system. Could be usefull in sports areas or public swimming pools. ("All persons with blue key-ribbon, must now leave the swimming pool, as their time is out...")

The MJ3 Pin Assignment (Alarm Detection and Relay Contact) is concerning the relay: PIN4+5 should be used in the RJ11 connector. PIN1+2 is for the alarm.

It works like this:

If you want to make an all-call, just press 545, and then the audio (voice) will be sent to the PA system (amplifier)(External Page Zone).

If you press 543, then the audio will go to all keysets (Internal All Call Page).

If you press 549, then the audio will go to all keysets and the PA system (amplifier)(All Call Page (Int & Ext).

The numbers mentioned can have been changed, if you change PGM-106

It doesn't work through the relay contact!
It works only when you connect the PJ2 directly to the PA system
The important is that it works!!!!
Thanks again

If you program it in PGM168 - for the relay to be an EXT1 relay.

External Control Contact (PGM 168)
In this program mode, the following items can be customized:
1. Press the [TRANS PGM] button
2. Dial 168
3. + FLEX1 + 3 + [HOLD/SAVE]

External Control Contact can be used (when programmed) for External Relay.

Then dial:

If you want to make an all-call, just press 545, and then the audio (voice) will be sent to the PA system (amplifier)(External Page Zone).

If you press 543, then the audio will go to all keysets (Internal All Call Page).

If you press 549, then the audio will go to all keysets and the PA system (amplifier)(All Call Page (Int & Ext).

The numbers mentioned can have been changed, if you change PGM-106

It should work allright, now.

Yes for te programming I agree and I did all this
But I'm talking about cabling, when you put te relay between the Aria system and PA system it doesn't work
When you pu te aria directly to PA system it works!!!!

OK, the relay helps to mute the audio path to the amplifier.
Then you do not have to hear noise in the PA system (amplifier). When the relay is passive no audio comes out to the PA system.

Yes I now, and tat's the problem
But I don't now why it doesn't work when I put the relay between the PA and the Aria, and I hear te relay opens when I dial 545 but no sounds gets through PA
I don't know may be my cabling is false because the relay works I can hear it!!!

Sorry te K of my keyboard is not working proprly
it's I know and I don't know

But at the same time I think that no audio comes out to the PA system if you hang up so what the role of the relay??

Maybe it does not play a role in your system, but we had some problems with hum and noise in the PA system, if the input audio (line-in) was not controlled by a relay.
