I just upgraded to ID CS3 and am experiencing a problem that I find difficult to believe. The page that I view on the screen becomes displaced when I print it. To explain:
I open a new document and in setup select A4 as the page size.
In the work area I set the ruler origin to 0, both x and y to the top left hand corner of the page.
I place an object on the page and position it x = 50mm, y = 50mm using the tool bar at the top.
When I print the page, the objects position is 61mm and 61 mm from the top left hand corner.
This happens of all of the three printers that I use.
It does not happen in CS2

How do I align the printer to the document, I need very accurate results, plus or minus 1 mm.
Help file no use, I often wonder why they bother to include it.

...in page setup are all settings as they would be in CS2, page position option with centred turned on, marks and bleeds off etc, etc?

Andrew,
I have duplicated the setup exactly in CS2 and the object appears on the printed page where is should. I positioned the object x = 60mm and y = 60mm. In ID3 the displacement is x axis 15mm and y axis 12mm, i.e. x = 75mm and y = 72mm. The origin is 0 at the top left hand of the page and the reference of the object is set to top left hand. I am having trouble in believing what I'm seeing. The results are the same on all three printers. I ran the same test on Corel draw and Publisher, everything as expected. I have contacted Adobe. No response. Value your interest and appreciate your help. Regards.
