Page Server/Cache Server error

Using CE 10 and accessing an unmanaged report through the URL (

http://myserver/reports/myreport.rpt),

we intermittently get the dreaded Page Server error with this vague description:

File C:\Program Files\My Reports\myreport.rpt not found. [On Cache/Page Server:server.pageserver]

Now this file does exist in the indicated path and the report runs fine from time to time. Once the error pops up, you cannot get rid of it except by restarting the Page Server.

The only thing we see is that if we run a different report that is much simpler (does only a simple table query rather than multiple joins and does not take as long to process), it runs properly every time.

Anyone heard of anything similar? Any special cache or page server settings that need to be applied?

Check the # of threads you are allowing open on your page server. We had it set to "unlimited" and nothing but trouble. Set it to 50 and it started behaving just beautifully.

Thanks for the tip - it was set to 75 but we will try reducing it.

If that does not work, any other ideas?
