Page / Printer setup

We are having a problem with Page ?Printer setups I wondered if someone can help us with.

The reports are developed in Development environment with no problems. Then they are moved to the test environment.

In the test environment the first time a user logs in a a particular machine the reports will print out as a little icon on the corner of the page.

I look at the page setup and it has reset to letter size, I change to A4 and check fit to page and it's fine for that user id on that pc for every report from then on.

The problem is our test environment is regularly rebuilt through MSI so the setttings keep getting reset.

We are not sure if it's an Impromptu, or Printer, or Windows issue, we can't find an ini file or registry entry that changes when we make the change.

Any ideas where the setting might be, or how we can ensure reports fit correctly on the page when moved from printer/environment to another.

We had a similar problem 18m ago which was traced a difference in both printer drivers and user profiles between the PCs. I'd check that the test and development systems do not differ in these respects.

(Notwithstanding the foregoing, I still can't get some 7.1 impromptu reports to print properly under 7.3 using the "fit to page" feature.)
