If someone is on the phone talking, is there a way to do an emergency page override?

I'd like to get a tone out, or some message to them in emergency situations.

I know on the NEC systems you can do exactly this.

No, there is no way on a Norstar to do this.
You can also do it on a Mitel, if you are a console.

used to be called "off hook call announce,telrad had a "whisper" feature where in you could come over the persons earpiece with important info and the other party could not hear it ,pretty cool stuff,I think tie had something simular.
For norstar you would have to install a second phone,unless you use privacy release and have an appearance of that line on your phone-then you basically "barge in"on the conversation and i believe its a system wide setting-but not sure.
