Page Numbers

I have searched the help and forums but can not find how to do the following

I have an Impromptu report that is grouped by customer and then grouped by Branch and details transactions against each branch. The report starts a new page for each branch within each Customer and I have the page numbers resetting after each customer but I would like page number to read as "Page 1 of 4" (4 pages for customer) rather than just Page 1 as it does not identify how many other pages ther are.

I hope I have been clear in what I am trying to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look in the Insert menu under 'More Objects' for the object 'Total Pages'. This will add what you need.

Thanks for your reply.

I did try that, but it only gave me total pages for the report rather than total pages for the group. I'm sure I'm missing something because I would of thought that this was a standard requirement?

Did you set the page breaks to reset the page numbers after each group?

Yes I did set the page numbers to reset after each group, but the "Total Pages" from More objects just reads the total number of pages for the whole report and does not give the totals for the group

Paul,

I'm not sure if the behavior of the Total Page object ever did respect the group page breaks. Never had a situation that needed it. I would expect it to do so though. You may want to call it in to Cognos as a bug. I doubt they will get it fixed soon, but it should be addressed eventually.
