How would you start page numbering on page 4 rather then 2. I see the button that says "do not number first page" and have selected it, however page numbering always start on page 2.

anyway to change this.
Thanks.

In the footer of the document, at the location where you want the page numbers to appear, hold down the Ctrl Key and Press F9 to insert a pair of Field delimiters { }, then type the word IF inside the { }. With the cursor after the letter F, insert another pair of delimiters (Ctrl+F9 again) and inside this pair, type the word PAGE. Type < 4 "" (CTRL+F9 again) and type the word Page. The result should be

{IF{PAGE} < 4 "" {PAGE}}

This will suppress pages 2 & 3 from numbering

Unless of course you are asking about how to START a new page number at 1......

I want page 4 to be label PAGE 1 page 5 to be lable PAGE 2...etc.

Make a section break for Page 4, and Insert > Page Numbering > Format and then uncheck Continue from previous section. Make Start at = 1, then OK.
