Page numbering from page 3

I need to number pages from Page 3 of a lengthy document to the end. I cannot get the numbering to start on Page 3. It will only start on Page 1. Have tried section breaks and so on. Any suggestions?

You need a section break at the bottom of page 2 so that the new section starts on page three. View-Header and Footer, make sure it doesn't say "Same as Previous" (see my response to your previous post), then hit the pound sign # on the H&F toolbar to insert the page number. Select the page number and hit (from menu) Insert-Page Number-Format-Start at 3.
