Hi folks,

SO i've dived in to InDesign CS2 and created an 80 page book which looks great. I thought I could add page numbers at the end when I had put everything into the "book" window and auto-paginated, but from what i've read, I need to assemble it all in the pages window too?

I have the book window in order, and 76 InDesign document files in a folder. Is there some way to add these files to the "pages" window and then number the pages automatically. Or is there another way easier than this?

My head hurts with confusion.

Thanks in advance.

Kristian

Mum always told me to read the manual first, but her coffee machine manual was only 4 pages long.

Hi,

I'm also a newbie and I just finished how to work with Page Numbers.

To format your page numbers correctly, you'll need to checkout ID's Section feature. The way it works is you goto your Page Layout toolbar and click on the page that you want your Page Numbering section to begin on. Then goto: Layout | Numbering & Sections options.....

However, I'm not sure about the document files. Are these separate files you're trying to incorporate within your 80-page ID document?
