My report consists of 1, 2, 3, etc... page orders. The pages start over after each order. A barcode goes on each page, which identifies details for that page of the order. A barcode consists of order no, date, time and page no.
This all works fine, however, my barcode is very lengthy and long on the report.
What I need to do is to create a smaller, unique identifier to this barcode. I first tried creating the same version of the report to run first and to insert the barcode into a table which has a unique identifier assigned to it. Then, on the report, I could use the unique identifier instead of the lengthy barcode.
This also worked fine, except for the fact that I can't get the first report to run and generate the barcodes without printing it. I obviously can't have the report print out twice. Any thoughts?
