1)I loaded Library from 2nd CD to C:\ root, still cannot open the image files(I can see the image number). Also all the image templates are missing from start up. I didn't reload Page maker6.5 yet. It is a Windows XP box. Any suggestions?
2) Some of the Photo Shop files cannot import into Pager Maker6.5, any advice?

Thank you in advance!

(1) when you say you cannot *open* the image files, what do you mean? Can you *place* them in Pagemaker?

No idea what you mean by 'Also all the image templates are missing from start up'. ??? Start up of what?

(2) what format are you saving those Photoshop files in? You should save them as a TIF before placing them in PM.

Have a read of this for the recommended workflow for PM.

Hi, miscohill,

> 2nd CD

What is the extension of the files on the second CD? Aren't they mostly images in AI, JPG, PDF and other formats? - they are not PageMaker files.

> Photo Shop files

PM6.52 can not import Photshop PSD files; you need PM7 for that. As Lyn says, convert them to TIFF format.

Also, PM6.52 is not supported by Adobe on WinXP - you really need PM7. However PM6.52 can run OK on WinXP, but it's not guaranteed.

The files are .ai files. You can see the file number, but cannot open it. Also there was a selection of image files appeared when you open Page Maker6.5 before. Now it's gone.

Hi, miscohill,

> The files are .ai files.

These are Adobe Illustrator files - whihc need Adobe Illustrator to open and edit.

Provided they Ver 7(?) or earlier, you can place them into PM, but you will need to copy the AI file from the CD to your local hard disk drive and remove the Read Only attribute to be on the save side.

Try clicking Window -> Plug-in Palettes -> Shoe Picture Palette.

Hi, miscohill,

Apologies for the poor typing/spelling - it's late and I should asleep, not surfing.
