Hi,

I am new to Dreamweaver and I was just wondering how to make a layout like this I am not really sure what to call what I need help with so please bare with me. You see how their is the darker green and the white has the writing stuff in it. How do I make the dark green stuff for like my title and my navigation stuff? I tried making it with frames but everything is squared then. I want to make it rounded like the dark green side bar and the title bar. If anybody understands what I am trying to say please help me and try to lead me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Sterling

skendrick,

It's done in tables.

You have a background (which gives you that border) and then you create gifs of different shapes to fit your table in the middle.
Take the top section... one gif on the left (with a curved edge) a rectangle in the middle and another curved edge gif on the right.... put them all together and you get that effect.

Try right clicking on that part, select properties and you'll see the different gif file names... or look at the source code (View>Source)

It's also worth noting that, as this in an MS frontpage site, ploughing through it's source code could seriously damage your mental health! lol

Hope that helps

Click File>Save As and save the page. Then open it up in Dreamweaver and see how it's put together
