Does anyone know a way to script/macro the page layout?

For as long as I have used Access, the page layout for saved reports keeps changing. The problem is that when running macros the print preview/print keeps coming up with default settings (1" margins, page layout at portrait) - the reports were/have been saved repeatedly with .25 margins and landscape layout. Note once the settings are manually changed - it will print properly. But when you close the file - the settings revert back.

thanks for any help....

I have this problem from time to time myself, and here's what I've done to fix it. Make sure you are in your report as someone with change access (IE: admin). Now take a control, ANY control and move it from it's original position and then move it back to it's original position. Now go into page setup and modify your layout settings. After this is done, then save the report. I've found that Access does not recognize changes to only the page layout as a valid change, so when you issue the save command it doesn't actually save it. So by moving a control and then putting it back in place, the report has actually been modified and Access saves the report because of you control and in turn saves the changes to your page layout.

Hope that helps!

This was corrected for Access 2000 in Service Release 1. According to the article it's cause by the Name Autocorrect feature.
