Hi,

We are using Crystal XI querying an Oracle 10g database, I have been working on a purchase order report, all looks OK except I cant get the page header to appear on more than one sheet ( if the report goes over onto two or more pages )

The report has 3 page headers one each for each company ( we have two companies, both use the same database ) and one for the address lines of the order, below these are the detail lines for each order line, then the report footer with totals etc...

when the report goes onto two or more pages, the first page is fine, with both the header for the particular company, and also the address lines, but consecutive pages have no company info, and the address header is blank ( just the text is showing, no actual data )

Does anyone have any idea what I've done wrong and also how to correct the report?

Thanks in advance,

Mick.

Assuming you are really using the page header sections, and not the report header, and that this is not a subreport, then I would suggest that you place your page header fields in the detail section and observe whether they appear correctly--the page header will only pick up fields that occur in the first detail row on the page.

If you have a group on company, you could potentially use summary formulas (e.g., maximum({table.address},{table.company}) to make the info available in the page header.

Hi Lbass,

Thanks for your reply, I haven't got any grouping on the report, but did use summary fields on the address header, this now shows on all pages and is fine, I also did the same to the address headers but this is still only showing on the first page. One thing I didn't mention about the 2 company headers ( I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not ) but each header is suppressed with a formula to show the correct one depending on the company name on the purchase order line.

Do you think it could be the fact that I have no groups on the report and using summary fields that is the problem?

Mick.

OK, right, I took out one of the company page headers removed the suppression and the formula, now it prints on all pages, so it must be something to do with this, but I cant figure out what.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Mick.

I've sorted the problem, I needed to create a summary formula for company, then use this formula for supression instead of the field.
