page header in subreport in cr7.0

I have a report with multiple detail sections, each with a stored proc as data source. The second detail section is basically a list and can be greater than a page in length. There is a new page break before and after the detail list, since it often is faxed to a customer. In the subreport itself, the column headers are in a page section, but this section disappears in the main report, and I want the column headers to display at the top of every page the list extends across. I guess I could add a group header in the main report level which would print only if the second detail section was printing, but I don't know how to do this.
