I have a Win2k laptop running on a local LAN with a ADSL connection, there a several PC on the LAN which run fine with no problems, But I have a problem with one where by it does not display and web pages using IE6, I have checked the obvious like DNS and security settings but to no avail, can anyone shed some light on this ???

do some testing first to find out if it's a browser issue or a connectivity issue:

first, ping the destination IP address (e.g. "ping 192.168.0.10") then ping the target URL. If you're not getting any response, it's a network connectivity issue.

also, try a different browser to see if this makes a difference (e.g. Netscape / Opera / Mozilla).

<marc> i wonder what will happen if i press this...[pc][ul][li]please give feedback on what works / what doesn't[/li][li]need some help? how to get a better answer: faq581-3339[/li][/ul]
