In my application i am posting my page , which calls an asp page that has the code to invoke a ActiveX Dll.The Dll in turn calls the stored procedure. After 10 minutes of the process in the browser i get a message "This Page Cannot be Displayed".The title of the page becomes "Cannot find the server".

But when i see in the backend after getting the error in the database the process continues and gets completed successfully.

This is an intranet application. This happens only when i am connecting through the leased line(WAN).on the LAN the process completes succssfully in 12-15 minutes.

Can you provide ur valueble suggestions?

Hi ...
on IIS 4 or 4.5 you could see the error if you submit your form to an ASP page and there was an error.
but in IIS 5 if you post your form to an ASP file which contains some errors, you can't see the error and it just say "This Page Cannot be Displayed" and when you refresh the page, you see the previous page.
but if you put a response.end() in the pegining of the second ASP file, and then submit your form to it, your form, posts to the second file and then just remark or delete the response.end() line and refresh your page to see the error.

You may want to extend your page timeout to a greater value..

Cheers,

Gorkem.
