Page breaks before long subreports

I have a report where I have many different subreports in the Details sections. For example, I have 2 rows of fields/labels in Detail A, then a (potentially) long subreport in Detail B. Since the Detail A section is only an inch or so tall, I want to have Detail B start right under Detail A. In the case of a short subreport, that works fine and all is on one page. However, if the subreport turns out to be long (say, 1 1/2 pages), it will start the subreport on the top of page 2 (I guess, to try to put it all on one page) instead of starting right below Detail A. So, it looks like I put a page break in my report.

How can I get around this? I've played with the 'Format Section' window and un-checked the 'keep together' option for the Detail A & B sections of the main report as well as all of the Detail sections in the subreport.

Right-click on the subreport itself. The default is 'Keep Object Together', which means that it will always begin a new page if the whole of the subreport won't fit on the current page. It does this even when the subreport won't fit on a whole page either.

It helps to give your Crystal version, since newer versions have extra options, and some extra problems. I use Crystal 8.5.
