Has anyone run across a problem with the new Partner ACS using the 2-Slot backplane?

I have a processor that won't recognize the board in the second slot...regardless of it's type. This is all new hardware, which has been replaced twice.

With both the original and replacement hardware, the problem disappeared when the boards were relocated to a 5-Slot backplane. I haven't seen anything from Avaya on this yet, but I know that the R7 has a couple of problems that are already being fought.

Most of my residential customers prefer the smaller backplane, which is why I care about this issue.

Addendum: The 2-slot backplane was replaced several times as well. Thought I'd throw that in the mix in case there was any question about my sanity.

I haven't read about any problems when using the small carrier with the R7.

Then again, the small carrier is not a big seller due to the tight spacing of the modules.

There may be an issue. Would the customer be willing to go with a brand new R6? [ponder]
