In one of the headers, I have two unbound fields that are populated based on whether or not another field, in the Detail section, meets specific criteria. One is called "Note" and one is called "Shipping Instructions". Each of these will print if the criteria specified is met.

Sometimes the only line items on a page are one or both of the unbound controls with no "real" line items. How do I tell the report not to print that page if the only things on it are those two fields?

Thanks in advance, Jessica Morgan

One way I've found to suppress pages/groups from printing in reports is to exclude them from the criteria in my queries. There are probably better ways, but here is one that I've done:

- Create a query that only returns your key field(s) that meet the criteria for your report, including the criteria for your header controls. For example, a list of employee IDs that worked on a Wednesday in January.

- For the query that is the Record source of your report, use this new query as the driver since this is a list of IDs that you want to report on. Join this query to the other table(s) to get the rest of the fields you need. So, for this example, you could return all of the days that all employees worked in the month of January, but only the ones who worked on Wednesdays.....

Hope this helps.....
