Packets Sent clear/reset

I have a notebook computer that the packets sent is up over a trillion. Cannot find any virus/spyware/adaware with multiple programs! Does not reset or clear after reboot and SP2 did not solve the issue. Received is reset after each reboot.

Any ideas, at least how to reset???

Do not sweat this issue. It is a device driver reporting problem. Microsoft tried to make clear in their toolkit for device drivers, but many have gotten this wrong.

Usually a NIC driver upgrade resolves this issue.
