I am looking for a good packet filtering product or utility.

I need to track the source of a a few IP packet errors I receive on my local network.

Any recommendations

Are you wanting a Firewall-like solution to block and rule out adresses? If so I HIGHLY recomend IPF (IP Filter). If you want a packet analyzer look into TCPDump or Ethereal. Snort will also work, it's a sniffer/Intrusion detection app. Snort would probably be your best bet If I understand wehat you are looking for. Should be in your Ports collection.
