Hi,
I have an old Packard Bell Legend 204CD PC and am trying to do a clean win 98 install. Problem is that the CDROM is a MKE proprietary Interface and has to be connected through a sound card(model I don't know)and I erased the driver for the sound card. Any suggestions on the type of sound card that is in this thing and where may I get a driver from?

It's an integrated sound/modem card, probably a Rockwell/PB thing. Look around and you should find drivers for it.
Don't bother with the US PB site, it's not there. Cheers,
Jim

Thanks All!

I went ahead and replaced the original MKE drive with an IDE CDROM and went straight to the mobo IDE controller it works fine
