packaging problems

After preflighting a project in indesign cs and I package it I have the boxes checked for fonts and links but when I go into those files that are supposed to have been collected there is nothing in them. Why is it not collecting them and how can I fix it.

Are there any error messages after the preflight? (before you package?)

What fonts are used? What graphic format(s) are used?

Also, are you packaging through a network? What kind?
