I have created this magnificent program using VB. I packaged the project, included the system database and whatever files the P&D Wizard asked for. I took it on CD to the customer and then realized that there are files missing. The ODBC driver for one. I heard that DCOM was required for MDAC, and the Visual FoxPro Driver for ODBC requires MDAC. MDAC however won't install on a machine without IE 4.01 and above.

Is there anyway to include any and all files in a package that could be required when creating the setup package?

I am starting to pull my hair out, so I am waiting anxiously for a reply or a shove in the direction of some documentation or something. Thank you.

Dave

The Package & Deployment wizard may do some of that for you. But one that will for sure is Wise's InstallBuilder. You'll end up with a 30-megabyte install file, but it will contain all the pre-requisites you need.

Thanks, I will research this further. Any thoughts on Visual Basic Installer 1.1?

No, I've never used it. Sorry.
Maybe someone else has, though.
