Ive heard that to package an activeX control you need to use merge modules ? All of our users do not have the administrator rights required to install active x controls in interent explorer. (and with the new build - we do not want to give these out)
In particular, we have an in - house application that produces crystal reports, and the users require the crstal reports active X viewer to view them. At present Desktop support currently login as administrators, then load the intranet site which prompts for the active x control to be installed.
We are rolling out our new build with SMS 2003, and I would appreciate any help with packaging such applications, as we want to deploy as many applications as possible remotely. - Are they .cab installers ?
- We also have a few more in- house active x controls, that I could use the same packaging info on too.
